Hartford Steam Company implements actions in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11, 2020
Hartford Steam Company has been continuously
monitoring the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak around the
world and across the US through updates from the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and federal, state and
local governments. Given the WHO has declared the coronavirus a pandemic and to protect the health and wellbeing of its employees and maintain critical business operations, Hartford Steam is following guidelines set by the CDC, as well as our Business Continuity Plan and has implemented the following:
- Restricted employee travel to all
external meetings, effective March 12.
- Restricted visitors to the Hartford
Steam facilities and cancelled all tours.
- Enhanced the cleaning protocols at our
facilities, focusing on high-touch areas and hard surfaces.
- Prepared for non-essential employees
to work from home, if it becomes necessary.
- Reminded employees to practice social
distancing and to stay home if sick.
- Developed safeguards to minimize risk
and exposure to personnel.
We will post updates to this notice as needed. |
